An evening of greatness

It was great to be at Stone Pony Summer Stage to see a great show. The weather was fantastic and the venue is great. Great concessions, friendly staff, and fairly priced drinks! The Cribs started things off playing fun stuff and a providing some laughs. Modest Mouse = phenomenal. The set list was pretty broad, as per usual with them. They mixed it up with a nice mix across their catalog. Isaac Brock was, of course, entertaining, offering some witty banter between songs. He's such a great front man and the band was super tight. I had been peering at the setlists in the days leading up to the Asbury Park show and didn't see Ocean Breathes Salty. However, i was convinced it would be played in Asbury due to its very, very, very close proximity to THE OCEAN...and it was! Awesome headline, great opener, great venue and great weather! So much fun.

They brought more than i expected, awesome overall

The band Modest Mouse isnt new to me. I had heard them first in the 90s as a new band. Good stuff, and even tho alternative was my tastes then, still wadnt a huge made. Not bad, but not great. I went to the show, to give em. Chance and my friend is a dir hard fan. Ao why not. And they blew me away. 6 people on stage, bassist n keyboardist switched instruments more than one. Extra percussion gave an ambiance i never expected. Theyve come along way in 25+ years. But i bought the tshirt and I'd be happy to see these guys play again
